Alex Waterhouse-Hayward has pulled some great Polaroids and prints out of his archive, scanned them, and posted them with commentary. This blog entry is filled with shots from a 1992 photo shoot he did with Lisa Montonen holding various flora.
Waterhouse-Hayward writes he shot the series with a Mamiya RB67 Pro-S and a 140mm macro lens. The film was Kodak Plus-X processed in “Kodak HC-110 in a 1 to 39 dilution at 20 degrees Celsius for 4 minutes and 45 seconds with a reciprocating rotating drum,” he writes. His lighting was one 3×4 softbox.
His articles are well-written and worth your time. To get insight from a photographer of this caliber is a benefit to all, even if you’ve never shot film before.
